So many of us take our families for granted at Christmas. We assume that we’ll spend 3 or 4 days visiting and receiving guests, and in some cases bemoan this fact.
However, too many are alone. I spent 5 years working with elderly and vulnerable people in their own homes, and while many went to visit family, a lot were alone, except for us who worked with them.
Please take some time this season to remember those who may not have visitors, who may be feeling low or alone.
And if you are feeling alone this year, there are people ready and waiting to talk with you.
